Battaglia & Temel: Jazz Residency Unveiling at Water Stage
Stefano Battaglia, a rare artist known for his fearless freedom and meaningful precision, and Tamer Temel will perform the final concert of the Water Stage Concerts. Renowned as one of Italy’s foremost jazz pianists, Battaglia has crafted a distinguished career spanning classical interpretations to modern compositions. His extensive repertoire and over 3000 performances at major festivals and international events worldwide have earned him wide acclaim.

In 2010, Tamer Temel released his debut album ‘Barcelona’ under the label A.K. Müzik, featuring Dave Allen on guitar, Masa Kamaguchi on bass, and Marc Miralta on drums. Alongside performing at numerous festivals, venues, and jazz clubs, Tamer Temel continued to teach jazz at Bahçeşehir University. Following this, he released his second album project titled ‘Bir Kedi Kara.’ In December 2016, he launched his third album, ‘Serbest Düşüş.’ Additionally, Temel collaborated with Ercüment Orkut and Cem Aksel to form the TÖZ Trio project, releasing their first album in 2018 and their second in 2022.”
The duo will unveil new compositions inspired by their time spent in Gümüşlük. Their collaboration, born from a seven-day residency, will culminate in the performance at the festival followed by an album recorded at Istanbul’s Pür Records Studios, which will be released on all digital platforms in the coming season.
